Tamarack Epoxy Coating Process
Stage 1: Prep
Prep of the garage floor for coating includes crack and divot repair and use of diamond carbide grinders to remove contaminants on the floor. Diamond grinding helps to open the pores of the floor to better absorb the epoxy coating. This is a much better process then acid washing and is much safer for the environment.
Stage 2: Application
Commercial grade epoxy is applied to the prepped concrete floor. Accent chips are applied to wet epoxy on the floor and stem walls to create a seamless appearance. Epoxy and accent chips are left to bond and cure to each other and to the concrete.
Stage 3: Completion
o complete your new epoxy coated floor, we sand and scrape the accent chips and base coat, removing all excess. Commercial grade Polyaspartic clear coat is applied to protect the floor and give it a glossy appearance. After curing for 24 hours, your floor is ready for foot and vehicle traffic!
